Yes, after long wait, I have started crashedblog once more. Sadly, the domain became “premium”, and the registrar wanted 200$ on top of the normal prices. This is where the new domain comes in, as well as the new name of the blog.

Speaking of the new name of the blog, it also allows me to present my new project to the world. I’ve been working on this for quite some time, at least in planning, and I’ve decided to start bringing the pieces together, and get some interest in this.

Simply put, the internet is no longer what it was envisioned to be. Instead of a free and open share of ideas, it’s a hub of scams, morons, and government censorship. I want to change this. I was told that the only way to ever solve this would be to start building my own internet. While this was said as a joke, it has stuck with me, and started growing into an idea that I have become passionate enough to even spend some of my own money to help this dream become reality. Allow me to explain.

I am building an internet within the internet (inception). In order to do this, I will be utilizing vpn technologies, specificly l2tp. This will be done over highly secure IPsec tunnels, and allow the free sharing of information away from prying eyes. But I am not stopping there. I’m going to build servers within this network, web, irc, dns, etc. This will allow Darknet staff to create websites, irc servers, radio stations, social networks, and even inter-network email servers. It will truely be a private slice of internet, built upon the existing backbone already in place.

Because of the nature of this project, in its beginning, only people we trust will be able to join this network. Stress testing and the such is important, and so is ensuring that while information is shared freely, nothing malicious will be done to the users of the network. Perhaps in the future, this will be opened more to invites, but in the beginning it is necessary to build a strong, trusting community to allow the idea to grow and flourish.

Well, I’ve typed this entire message on my phone, and my fingers are starting to hurt. Thus, I will go now.
